That is right, Black Chip Poker, one of currently still biggest Merge Gaming poker rooms with offices in Costa Rica and Australia is leaving the Merge Gaming Network and moving on to better things. BlackChipPoker.eu will now be part of the Winning Poker Network starting December 3rd 2012; so in just a few days from now.
For those of you that are not aware, the Winning Poker Network used to be called the Yatahay Network, and its flagship poker site is currently True Poker, followed by Americas Cardroom (formerly Doyles Room Poker room). That is quite the change in names, companies and networks, huh? Well, it is all for the best, as this network bring with them great software, reputation, poker games, and service, and unlike Merge, they have rocking processors that allow for faster and successful deposits and cash-outs.
Merge is still safe, do not get us wrong, but they have suffered several issues with processors, which cause lots of delays in cash-outs, and lots of unsuccessful deposit attempts – unfortunately. Unfortunately, the Winning Poker Network, unlike Merge, does not have a Mac friendly poker client, which means you will have to rely on a windows simulator, parallel or the likes to be able to play here if you desire and if you are on a Mac computer.
What do poker players need to do now?
As poker players, you will not have to do anything at all, apart from getting a windows simulator if you are on a mac. Bear in mind, Black Chip Poker will be down on moving day, but that is just 1 day, and right after that, your account and balances will be securely moved over to the new network for you to log in and play poker online like any other day.
Along with that, you will notice a simple auto-upgrade to your downloaded poker client, and all will go back to normal with faster banking service. Additionally, both the Merge gaming network and the Kahnawake Gaming Commission, will no longer have any liability regarding players at BlackChip.
This comes after several months of issues with the merge gaming network banking services, and the transition of several other merge gaming partners (or former partners), such as big poker player, Carbon poker, which changed cashiers to their own cashiers, avoiding those deposit and payout delays, and allowing them to grow further to not just one of the best poker rooms around, but a sportsbook, racebook, and online casino.
