The Anonymous Poker Series is a new poker series that is set to hit the poker scene in 2013. The new series was just announced by the Bodog Poker Network and will give players an opportunity to win hundreds of thousands of dollars, all the while remaining anonymous. The new series will run for the entirety of 2013 and will end in January 2014 with the $100,000 Grand Final which will take place in Manila.
The new series will offer players qualifying events that will take place in Europe and Asia for the Grand Final. The qualifiers will be available at online gambling sites and live venues. Each of the qualifiers that earn a spot at the Grand Final will be flown to Manila to compete and given accommodations for the event. Players will also be able to compete in live and online tournaments as part of the season leading up to the final event.
Jonas Odman, the Managing Director of the Bodog Poker Network, commented on the new series by stating: “This series will help highlight exactly how and why we feel our network is the best and safest place for both recreational poker players and operators alike. Operators who service sports bettors and casino players do not want their customers leaking money to non-depositing poker pros who are using sophisticated software in order to win. Our anonymous tables take this unfairness out of the equation, creating a much better experience for the leisure player.”
Odman also went on to state that the model for the series was created to appeal to the Asian market because trust-factor is ‘the single most important reason for choosing one operator over another’. Odman believes that the Asian market will choose the Bodog Poker Network as the preferred poker option.
