Online Poker in Australia
The first thing we’ll address about the state of online poker in Australia is the legality of the game. There was some legislation passed in 2001 that effected online casinos, bingo sites, and yes, online poker sites. The good news is that the law didn’t affect players at all; it affected the casinos, poker sites, and bingo sites themselves. It changed gambling laws for them, not for players.
There are still several online poker sites that accept players located within Australia, and a plethora of online poker deposit methods available to Aussie’s as well. This page will break down the best and most trusted rooms to play at in the “land down under,” including bios on some of the most well-known poker players to come out of the country.
