Lock Poker has continued to see setback after setback, from reported cash withdrawal issues to problems with their previous poker network, Revolution Gaming. Lock Poker has now lost an affiliation with a top online ewallet provider, Skrill. Skrill has parted ways with the online poker site and will no longer offer their payment option for players of Lock.
Online poker news source, Pokerfuse, spoke with Skrill and confirmed that Lock and the online ewallet have parted ways. A spokesperson for Skrill stated that the company confirms they will no longer be facilitating deposits to Lock Poker. The ewallet will no longer accept ‘uploads or deposits to Lock Poker’ but they will continue the withdrawal process so players can receive any funds they are due.
Skrill states that their company reserves the right to suspend functionality of any Merchant Account as long as the suspension coincides with the Terms and Conditions agreed upon with the Merchant. Skrill did not report as specific reason why they are not going to be providing Lock Poker with service anymore but a spokesperson for Lock states that the online poker group decided to suspend deposits via Skrill so they could focus on clearing up the cash outs at the site.
Over the past few months, players of Lock Poker have reported that payouts have been very slow, sometimes taking months to process. This included payouts from financial options such as Skrill. Because of these issues, Lock Poker has received the lowest ranking in the industry based on their withdrawal process.
According to the report by Pokerfuse, Skrill does not rule out working with the site again at a later date. So it will be interesting to see if Skrill will decide to work with Lock again if they are able to get their act together and pay players at the normal cash out rate.
