Week 7 NFL Sunday Proves to be Another Tough Week for Bettors

The Seattle Seahawks losing to the St. Louis Rams and low scoring games put a damper on the most heavily bet picks on Week 7 NFL Sunday.  We cover the games that receive more than 70 percent of the tickets written each week.  This weekend’s original article may be found here.

NFL Week 7 Point Spread Results

There were only four lopsided point spreads.  Sunday’s games split 2-2.  This brought the season record to 19-20.

NFL Week 7 Money Line Results

The Seattle loss was brutal to bettors as 97 percent of the tickets for the game’s money line were written on the Seahawks.  Bettors also did not hit either of their upsets.  This week’s record was 2-3.  The season’s most picked money lines on NFL Sunday 23-31-1.  This is a terrible number due to all of the favorites that have lost this year.

The betting public loves overs.  Most of the lopsided games involve heavy over action.  This week was no different as all seven games with more than 70 percent of the action on one side of the total were all overs.  Unfortunately for bettors, five of these games did not break the total.  This week’s record for totals was 2-5, bringing the season’s record on most-bet totals 22-23-2.  This is the first time this season that the number is below .500.
