Sunday marks the last day of the 2014 regular season football.  The action for this week is one of the most lopsided we have seen all year, especially as it pertains to money lines, according to Sportsbook Spy.

The most bet on game this week so far is Detroit at Green Bay.  St. Louis at Seattle game is a close second.

Thoughts on Week 17 Action

There are a number of meaningless games in Week 17.  This is either from two teams out of contention playing or where one team has essentially locked up its playoff position.  This can make Week 17 NFL betting interesting.  Look for teams that have a reason to quit (San Francisco, New Orleans, and Philadelphia come to mind) and bet against them.

Another game that looks interesting is Indianapolis (-7) at Tennessee.  The Colts have little to play for in this game.  They will be the number four seed unless the Cincinnati/Pittsburgh game ends in a tie.

There is a lot of risk in using key players for the entire game here.  That benefits Tennessee substantially and could allow for a late back door cover as the Colts starters are pulled and rested.  This scenario does not appear to be completely priced in to the line.
