The repayment of online poker funds to US players from Full Tilt has been a long and drawn out process. The Garden City Group has worked as the claims administrator to facilitate the payments in a timely manner and according to information from a TwoPlusTwo thread, another round of payments is scheduled for the month of March.
Poker players have been discussing the remissions process online at popular poker forum TwoPlusTwo and just two days ago, John Pappas, the Executive Director of the Poker Players Alliance, reported new information on the subject of payments and what can be expected.
3,500 players are expected to receive a payment by the end of March and 3,100 of those players had previously turned in inaccurate information during the claims process. The remaining 400 players of the 3,500 will be the first to earn a reimbursement payment as part of the disputed balances category of the process.
This would leave additional players to have to wait for repayment in the next wave. The 400 players who had disputed balances should see payment by next month and are those who had amounts of cash in their former Full Tilt accounts of under $500. Or these players had a dispute that was equal to 20% or less of the total balance.
Around $3 million is set to be paid by next month for players who have yet to receive reimbursement from Full Tilt. A total of over $90 million has been paid to more than 33,000 players who were members of Full Tilt in the United States. Once this next round of payments is made, the total will reach near $100 million in payments. For now, the Garden City Group continues to review the disputed claims and players can be on the lookout for payment in March if part of the next wave of payments.
