Over the past few months, the state of Delaware has not seen the best earnings when it comes to online gambling. The numbers have hit highs and lows as Delaware tries to find their place in the US online gaming market. The state has suffered from low traffic numbers with the revenues hitting an all-time low in the month of October. Thankfully, November was better and the state was able to rebound, earning more than October, but still dipping below the totals earned last year during the same time period.
The total game revenue earned online, combining casino and poker gaming for November, was $182,664.45, based on information released by the state. This was slightly lower than the overall totals for October, at $182,969.50, but online poker was able to rebound, earning more than the low numbers last month.
Poker took in $28,985.11 in November, which was higher than the October online poker numbers, $24,030.30. The October numbers for online poker was at an all-time low for poker gaming in Delaware. In November of last year, online poker was able to earn $31,610.21, slightly higher than this year’s November totals.
Online casinos in the state brought in a total of $4,433,827.45 in wagers for November with the state taking in $182,664.45. This is the most wagers earned by the state since May, when wagers pushed over the $6.6 million number.
There are currently three operators offering online gaming in the state, the three racinos, Harrington Raceway, Dover Downs and Delaware Park. Each racino provides online casino and poker gaming with 888 Holdings providing the gaming technology.
Despite seeing ups and downs, Delaware is hanging on as one of only three online gaming providers in the United States. As 2015 comes to an end, it will be interesting to see how the state fairs in 2016 with another year in the books in regards to online gaming.
