It has been awhile since the Garden City Group, the acting claims administrator, made an announcement in regards to the repayment process of former Full Tilt members located in the United States. The GCG posted at the Full Tilt Claims Site on Friday that approval has been given for the 8th wave of payments to take place. When these payments are made, a total of 94% will have received their money based on former Full Tilt poker accounts.
In the message at the Full Tilt Claims site, it reads that the GCG was informed by the Department of Justice Asset Forfeiture and Money Laundering Section that approval was granted for a new round of payments. This will include payments to petitioners who confirmed account balances with FTP accounts. Payments will also be made to petitioners who were disputing the balance of a former FTP account. Individuals who were considered ‘professionals’ by Full Tilt will also be paid.
In total, 1,180 petitions will be paid, which will equal $2.6 million in payments. The initial review of all petitions filed have been reviewed by the GCG and this round of payments will equal the 94% of petitions paid. The Garden City Group continues to work with the Department of Justice to evaluate the petitions that remain.
The claims administrator will continue to send emails to notify petitioners of deficiencies in petitions. Players must respond within a 20 day time frame as listed on the email. Petitioners are encouraged to check email accounts in the junk folder or spam if a message has not been received.
When you consider this round of payments, over 44,000 former members of Full Tilt have been paid, with amounts totaling close to $112 million. More information on the announcement by the Garden City Group can be found at fulltiltpokerclaims.com.
