A new partnership between Poker Central and the Aria Resort & Casino of Las Vegas, Nevada has resulted in a new poker festival for high roller gamblers. Poker Masters will debut this fall with a week-long series of events running from September 13th to the 20th. During the series, four events will take place with buy-ins of $50,000 while one will have a much larger $100,000 buy-in.
Due to the partnership with Poker Central, the featured tables as well as final tables of the events during the Poker Masters at the Aria will be streamed via PokerGO. This is the video subscription services used by Poker Central. Every day except on the 17th, the events will be streamed and up for players and fans to enjoy.
The $50,000 events will run for two days while the $100,000 will take three days to complete. The Poker Masters will begin with a $50,000 on the 13th with events taking place starting on each of the following three days. The larger $100,000 event will run from the 18th to the 20th. The $50,000 events will have a single re-entry option with the $100,000 tournament being in freezeout form and no re-entries offered.
Players who join on time during the events will not be charged a rake. Those late to the party will be charged. There will be a 30 second shot clock set per hand and three 60 second time banks will be allowed for each player each day.
The goal of players competing in the Poker Masters is to be named the Poker Masters Champion. To do this, players must compete in each of the five events or finish very well in the events they participate in. By earning the highest total earnings overall, the top player will be able to take home the Poker Masters Purple Jacket, a custom designed jacket by Waraire Boswell as well as bragging rights as being crowned the overall champion of the festival.
