The New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles are going to mix it up for their first of two regular season meetings on Sunday. The New York Giants have gotten off to a very slow start, with back to back losses to start the season. The Giants lost in the opener to the Cowboys, and in Week 2 to the Lions.
The Philadelphia Eagles are coming off a loss in Week 2 of the season. The Eagles went to Washington and beat the Redskins, and then lost in Kansas City. This is the home opener for the Eagles, who play at home just twice in their first 6 games. The Philadelphia Eagles are -6 in this game on Sunday.

Wentz Showing Improvement
The Eagles have liked what they have seen out of second year quarterback Carson Wentz. The quarterback is averaging more than 320 yards per game via the air, and has 4 touchdown passes. The quarterback is leading the team in rushing yards too, but that’s not by design. He leads the team with 61 rushing yards.
The Eagles are 3rd in the league in passing yards, and 20th in passing yards. Zach Ertz leads the team with 13 receptions and 190 yards on the season. The Eagles drafted defensive end Derek Barnett out of Tennessee as their 1st round draft pick, which was 14th overall.
Giants Struggle to Score
The New York Giants have been a dumpster fire to start the season. Many projected the Giants would compete at the top of the NFC this season. New York’s problem is – they simply cannot score. The Giants have scored just 13 points in their first two games of the season. New York is 30th out of 32 teams in points scored.
Odell Beckham Jr missed the opening game of the season. He played in the second game, but was pretty ineffective. Evan Engram has been the top receiver, as he has caught 8 passes for 93 yards and a touchdown. The Giants will not find things easier next week, as they go on the road to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Eagles Whip Giants
The New York Giants are not going to find things in that short of time against a divisional foe. Ben McAdoo has some big time troubles to figure out. Eli Manning cannot stay on his feet, and the Giants cannot run the football. New York is dead last in all of the NFL in rushing yards, with 48 per game.
Philadelphia should win this game. The Eagles defense will look to get after Manning, and cause him to turn the football over most of the day. Look for the Eagles defense to score a touchdown to break this game open. The final bet for this game is the Philadelphia Eagles -6 over the New York Giants.
