The Detroit Lions are coming off a big road win at Tampa Bay. The win for the Lions snapped their two game losing streak, as they dropped affairs to the Vikings and Ravens. The Lions are led by quarterback Matthew Stafford, who needs 1,317 yards to reach 5,000 this season. The quarterback has thrown 23 touchdown passes this season.
Golden Tate caught a touchdown pass in the win over the Buccaneers, but has dropped to Marvin Jones Jr in yards and touchdowns. Jones has 885 yards and 8 touchdowns on the season. The Lions finish the 2017 season at the Cincinnati Bengals and then at home against the Green Bay Packers.
Bears Looking to Play Spoiler
The Chicago Bears would love to play the role of the spoiler. The Bears had a five game losing streak going into that win in Cincinnati. Rookie quarterback Mitchell Trubisky has thrown for more than 1,500 yards after missing the first several games of the season. The signal caller has 6 touchdowns and 4 interceptions thrown this season as well.
Kendall Wright has been the top target for Trubisky, and is 23 yards from 500 on the season. The Bears rank 29th in the National Football League in points, as they are scoring 17.2 per game. Chicago will end the 2017 season with games against the Cleveland Browns and on the road at the Minnesota Vikings.
Lions Smack Bears
This game is going to be played in Detroit, and the road team Chicago Bears are in trouble. Sure, the Bears just won a road game, but that was against a very unmotivated Cincinnati Bengals team. This Detroit Lions team knows they have to focus and win every game to have a chance. Look for the Lions defense to eat up Trubisky in this game, and Matthew Stafford puts up a good game. The Lions win this game at home over the Bears. Take the Detroit Lions -6.5 over the Chicago Bears on Saturday.
