The Minnesota Vikings lost Sam Bradford to injury early in the season, and that was the replacement for Teddy Bridgewater. Then, Case Keenum took over and grabbed the job and kept it. He finished with a QBR of over 71, and threw for 22 touchdowns and more than 3,500 yards. Adam Thielen was the top receiver all season for Minnesota, with 1,276 yards.
The Vikings running game has gone through a couple backs. Latavius Murray finished as the top rusher, but he took over for Dalvin Cook, who also went down to an ACL injury. Jerrick McKinnon has been used as the pass catching back for the Vikings. Minnesota’s defense led the National Football league, allowing just 15.8 points per game.
Saints Not Going Down Easily
The New Orleans Saints are not going to go down easily. Sean Payton and Drew Brees are both on the final year of their contracts. The Saints have been there and done that with these two leading the way. New Orleans finished 5th in the National Football League in both passing yards and rushing yards. The offense was 4th in the league with 28 points per game.
The defense was the big improvement for New Orleans. The Saints finished 10th in the league with 20.4 points allowed per game. Mark Ingram and Alvin Kamara finished as one of the top running back duo’s in the league. Kamara was the pass catching back, so he finished with more total yards, but Ingram led with nearly 1,150 rushing yards. The Saints saw Michael Thomas lead the team with 5 touchdown receptions.
Saints Upset Vikings
The Minnesota Vikings are talked about as the team of destiny, and how they could host every game, including the Super Bowl. But, we are going the other way. The Saints with Payton and Brees seem to have more storylines going on. The Saints offense is too much or Minnesota to handle in this game. The final bet for the Sunday NFL playoff game is the New Orleans Saints +5 over the Minnesota Vikings.
