The World Series of Poker Circuit is heading to North Carolina this week, with the Harrah’s Cherokee Hotel and Casino hosting the poker tournament events. The action kicks off today with 12 days of poker gaming on offer. Included in the schedule will be the Main Event, which has a $1,675 buy-in and $1 million guaranteed prize pool.
Players will find 12 official World Series of Poker Circuit Ring events on the schedule, with gaming running until the 23rd. The total WSOPC stop will include over $3 million in guaranteed prize money with as many as 150 tournament tables offered onsite. Live cash games will be provided alongside the tournaments, with as many as 55 tables running.
Several formats of poker gaming will be provided during the Harrah’s Cherokee stop, including No Limit Hold’em, Pot Limit Omaha and Omaha 8 or Better. There will also be Senior and Ladies events on the schedule for players to enjoy.
Most of the events on the schedule will have a buy-in of $365, which makes the tournaments pretty affordable. The Main Event does have a larger buy-in and there will be one event on the schedule that has a buy-in of $580. Included with the Main Event, the winner not only earns a ring and cash prize but will be provided a seat to the upcoming 2018 Global Casino Championship.
After the WSOPC ends in North Carolina, the series will move on to the Horseshoe Baltimore from April 26th until May 7th. The last festival of the WSOP Circuit season will then take place at the Harrah’s New Orleans from May 10th to the 21st. The finale of the season will be the Global Casino Championship, which is an invite-only event.
We will update with results from the World Series of Poker Circuit Harrah’s Cherokee as the big events finish up, including the Main Event.
