The Boston Celtics and the Cleveland Cavaliers will meet for game 4 of the NBA Eastern Conference Finals. Cleveland blew out the Celtics in game 3, 116-86, for their first win of this series. The Boston Celtics lead the series 2-1, after winning both games back in Boston.
This series appeared to be a matchup of two evenly matched teams, but the first three games have all been blowouts. Neither team has been able to challenge the other on the road, and the Cavaliers hope this trend continues in game 4. Boston will be trying to bounce back and take a commanding 3-1 series lead. The Cavaliers are -6.5 over the Celtics in game 4.

Celtics Must Find Ways to Score
The Boston Celtics don’t have a true superstar, but have found ways to score all postseason long. In game 3, the Celtics never scored more than 24 points in a quarter, and never really challenged the Cavs. Boston shot just 39.2% from the field and were an even worse, 27.3% from the three point line. The Celtics won’t be able to keep up with the Cavs in game 4 unless they improve upon these numbers.
Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown continue to lead the Celtics on the offensive end. The duo combined for just 28 points in game 3, and coach Brad Stevens will be looking for more production from his two young stars in game 4. The Celtics are much quicker and more explosive than the Cavs, and must attack them with drives to the basket.
LeBron Leads, Cavs Finally Follow
LeBron James told the media that he wasn’t concerned with the 0-2 deficit that his team faced. In game 3, the Cavaliers proved why James still has faith in his teams chances. All five starters scored in double figures for the Cavs in their game 3 win, which was the first time this occurred in this series.
LeBron has been magnificent in these playoffs and is currently averaging 32.9 ppg through the first three rounds. The Celtics continue to throw extra defenders at James, and LeBron responded in game 3 by dishing out a team high 12 assists. The Cavaliers always have a shot to win with LeBron on their side, but the rest of the Cleveland roster must show up and contribute if they are going to even the series.
Boston Falls Short Again
Cleveland looked like a brand new team in game 3, and perhaps that win will give them momentum the rest of this series. The Cavaliers seemed to quit in the two losses in Boston, but played a complete game in blowing out the Celtics in game 3. If the Cavaliers shoot well again in game 4, they have a great shot of tying the series at 2-2.
Boston has been unbeatable at home during these playoffs, but are an inconsistent team on the road. The Celtics really struggled shooting the ball in the game 3 loss, but have shown the ability to make shots this postseason. The Celtics will play better, but LeBron and company will defeat the Celtics to even the series. Bet the Cleveland Cavaliers -6.5 in game 5.
