The Chicago Bears will host the Seattle Seahawks on Monday Night Football in week two. The Soldier Field crowd will be electric in new head coach Matt Nagy’s home debut. These two teams have not played since the 2015 season when the Seahawks defeated the Bears 26-0.
Both the Bears and the Seahawks will be looking for their first win after losing their season opener last weekend. The Bears blew a huge lead to the Green Bay Packers in week one, and ended up losing 24-23. The Seattle Seahawks lost a tight game against the Denver Broncos by a score of 27-24. The Chicago Bears are a 3.5 point favorite at home in this game.

Khalil Mack Dominates In Bears Debut
The Chicago Bears got a huge game from Khalil Mack in their loss to the Packers. Mack recorded a sack, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery on the same play in that game. The former Raiders star also had an interception return for a touchdown, and spent a ton of time in the offensive backfield. The Bears have a dominant defense this season, and it should be on display in this game.
Quarterback Mitchell Trubisky was solid in week one, but the Bears need more production from their second year QB. Trubisky threw for just 171 yards and no touchdowns against the Packers despite having plenty of weapons on his side. Stud running back Jordan Howard was held to just 82 rushing yards against the Packers, but also had 25 yards through the air. The Bears offense should be able to put up points in this game.
Russell Wilson Continues To Impress
Veteran quarterback Russell Wilson was solid in week one and continues to prove that he is one of the top quarterbacks in the NFL. Wilson threw for 298 yards and three touchdowns against the Broncos and is also deadly with his legs. The Seahawks will be without their top wide receiver, Doug Baldwin, in this game which will put extra pressure on Wilson to make plays.
The Seahawks used to feature one of the top defenses in the NFL, but those days are long gone. Safety Earl Thomas is the only remaining player from the “Legion of Boom” and the Seahawks struggled to slow down the Broncos offense in week one. They gave up over 450 yards in total offense against Denver, and this type of performance won’t win very many games this season.
Bears Ride Defense To Win
The Seattle Seahawks just don’t have enough offensive weapons to take on a top defensive team like the Chicago Bears. Russell Wilson is terrific, but the Bears will put a ton of pressure on the mobile quarterback. Expect a low scoring game from Seattle in this one.
The Bears know that they let a game get away from them in week one, and must bounce back. Jordan Howard and Tarik Cohen should pile up the rushing yards in this game, and the Bears will score enough to win. The Bears defense will hold the Seahawks down, and the Bears should roll to a victory. Bet the Chicago Bears -3.5 over the Seahawks in this game.
