This is the biggest win by this poker player. What is interesting is that his second biggest prize was also in Dublin and also in 2018, when he managed to cash out a total of €19,940. In other words, it seems that we are yet to see his skills in the future.
Even Wojciechowski himself stated that he would focus on the big festivals in the future as he was on a great run. He added a powerful sentence, stating that the poker world is open!
He won two major scores in Dublin and the time between them was not even the whole month. Wojciechowski stated that he found Ireland a great place for playing poker. He stated that there were great tournaments, as well as other destinations which were located all over the country.
Furthermore, he stated that the whole country was beautiful and not only the capital. Ireland is full of many excellent places for poker lovers and every player would love living in a country that has such a great poker community.
Wojciechowski also made a statement about the tournament itself, saying that 6-max was completely different. He said that he liked both but that they were completely different types of tournaments and that the players needed to play more aggressive this one.
The third day of the tournament saw the return of 17 players, and after several quick eliminations, it all came down to two tables. The first three players to leave the game after that were Gregory mallet, James O’Brien and Eric Gahon. Not long after that, the chip leader of the day 3, Matthieu Lamagnere, managed to eliminate Marc Macdonnell.
After the elimination of Gabor Csire, Lamagnere had almost the double chip lead in comparison to the other players. However, he could not stand the pressure and Adrien Guyon was following him closely. He finally fell victim to Andrew Dooley, who managed to double his chips through Lamagnere.
After the fifth player who is called Qiang Liu Zhi was eliminated, the four remaining players had to go to dinner. However, when they returned, they made a four-way deal and, luckily, Wojciechowski had a chip lead at that point, despite the fact that it often changed.
Therefore, Karl Wojciechowski became the winner of Winamax Poker Open Main Event, only to be followed by Matthieu Lamagnere, Andrew Dooley, and Samuel Baneham.
They also agreed of the additional €20,000 that were left to belong to the winner of the tournament. Wojciechowski played well and faced Dooley in the heads-up battle, only to emerge a winner after a couple of intense hands.
