Despite how poorly they have played, the Giants could end the day with the same record as the Falcons with a win. Eli Manning has gotten most of the blame for their struggles, so we’ll see how he comes out. He’s only thrown four INT’s, but is averaging only one TD pass per game.
Atlanta, on the other hand, has playoff aspirations every year, but are just 2-4 this year. The offense has not been the issue; it’s the D allowing four TD’s per game on average. Injuries have taken their toll. The Falcons are -4 over the Giants on Monday.

Giants Have Been a Circus
The circus has continued this week, with owner John Mara calling out OBJ and saying he should “play more and do a little less talking.” OBJ and his father both then came out and clapped back at him. When your $95 million receiver is feuding with the owner, you know that things aren’t good. Saquon Barkley has turned out to be a terrific add for this team, and is a player who is getting major yardage every week. We can’t say many good things about anybody else on the team based on performance.
The defense is going to really need to step up for these guys, as Atlanta has a high-powered offense. NY has recorded just seven sacks through six games, with BJ Hill leading with two. Not re-signing JPP has proved to be a move that has hurt them a lot more than expected. Their kicker, Aldrick Rosas, cannot kick from beyond 50 with much accuracy, so it’s on Eli to effectively move the ball.
Falcons Seeking Third Wn
How on earth is this team 2-4 when Matt Ryan has nearly 2,000 yards, and they’ve got 20 TD’s? It’s because they have allowed 24 offensive TD’s. Julio Jones has continued to dominate, with 44 receptions for over 700 yards, but he has no TD’s. Rookie Calvin Ridley has scored six, though. With Devonta Freeman hardly able to play due to health this year, they have used Ito Smith as Tevin Coleman’s backup. It hasn’t really worked out so well, with the team only averaging 86 rushing yards per game on average.
Atlanta hasn’t been much better than NY, with only 10 sacks this year. They do however, have six interceptions, an average of one per game. Expect them to record at least one of those this week. Damontae Kazee has three of them. Matt Ryan has been sacked 17 times, and the O-Line can be looked at as responsible for a lot of the team’s struggles. Though Ryan only has two INT’s, he needs time!
Falcons Dominate Giants, get to 3-4
If you thought we were picking the 1-5 Giants on the road, you were wrong. Saquon and OBJ can make all the plays they like, but NYG is very outmatched in this game.
Matt Ryan will go for 300 yards and three touchdown passes to help power his offense to victory. The run-game will be just good enough.
