As exciting and entertaining a game as this should be, it’s very interesting that the Packers .500 record isn’t being brought up more. Aaron Rodgers has played like the all-time great QB he is, but it’s not leading to any extra Packers wins. As a defense, they have been sloppy, and they blew a chance to hand the Rams their first loss last week.
New England has won five games in a row, and are boasting the AFC’s hottest offense (sorry Chiefs). There are not many flaws in their game, and they even ran the ball decently WITHOUT Sony Michel last week.
Packers
Through seven games and an overall poor team start, Aaron Rodgers is looking like a prime MVP candidate for Green Bay. He’s thrown for 2,273 yards, 13 TD’s, and only one interception. He’s run for 116 yards on 18 attempts but has been sacked 22 times. His O-Line has got to a better job of keeping him upright, as he has dealt with various injuries already this year. They are averaging over 100 rushing yards per game, but have not impressed at all in that area. They traded former starting RB Ty Montgomery to Baltimore for a late-round pick after his game-costing fumble on the kickoff run back last week.
Davante Adams is looking like a real star, but the same cannot be said of the other receivers, at least not at the same level. They certainly lack consistency. They have three players on D with at least four sacks this year, something that will bode well coming into today, trying to pressure Brady. Mason Crosby is 17-22 on kicks overall but has struggled at times. He needs to be accurate.

Patriots
Man oh man, this team has been on a real tear. Ever since losing to the Lions on SNF, they have not lost or looked weak on offense at all. Injuries and all, trying to implement new players, none of it has slowed them down. Julian Edelman is back to being the player he was pre-injury, Josh Gordon is looking extremely comfortable catching passes from Tom Brady, and the Patriots are in business. Brady has 2,200 yards and 16 TD’s but has seven interceptions. He has been sacked only 11 times, shoutout to the O-Line and his quick thinking.
The run-game is very minimal when Michel is not in the lineup, as White is the next leader with 204 yards, and nobody else is over 100. Nevertheless, they will not need the run game this week. It’s all about the offense. The D only has 12 sacks, so some deep breaths ahead of the game will be taken by Rodgers.
Rodgers wins the QB battle, Pack earn needed win
Yes, we’re riding with the Packers in this game. Brady and Rodgers are going to have an epic battle, and it is Aaron that will end up victorious.
Green Bay will win thanks to a late-game drive from Rodgers, which CAN happen because Ty Montgomery cannot fumble a kickoff that should have been downed in the end zone.
