$25,000 PokerStars Players No-Limit Hold’em Championship will be bigger than ever
The $25,000 PokerStars Players No-Limit Hold’em Championship is going to be huge next year, and we dare compare it to the WSOP Main Event. In other words, thousands of players from all around the globe are expected to buy in for this tournament which means that there is a good possibility that someone who has less than a million in cashes will win this poker tournament.
WSOP to move?
WSOP has been in Rio for a long time, but a lot of things happened there, and it seems that they are going to move to a venue which is still under construction at the moment. Allegedly, they are going to find their new home in the Caesars Convention Center, which should also solve some of the burning problems that WSOP has at the moment regarding logistics.
Reimagined Final Tables at WPT
We already talked about the fact that WPT has some really innovative ideas that they want to test, and one of them is putting all final tables together and streaming them live. This is certainly going to be an interesting experiment and we could only hope for the best. According to the WPT officials, all final tables are going to be at the Esports Arena Las Vegas. They will try to stream for a couple of consecutive days and cover all of them.
Dylan Linde wins a bracelet?
Dylan Linde may sound like a familiar name to some, but he is definitely not a poker super star…yet. According to his portfolio on the Hendon Mob, he has a huge chance to win some of the big tournaments in 2019, as he already managed to win Bellagio WPT Five Diamond Classic and WSOP Circuit Main Event. However, he still lacks a WSOP bracelet, and we could only guess that its the thing he wants the most at the moment.
Short Deck Poker returns?
Short Deck has been somewhat marginalized in the past couple of years and deemed not as important. However, it seems that some of the people in the poker industry such as Jason Sommerville are considering returning the game big time in 2019. He appeared on Pocket Fives’ The Fives Poker Podcast recently and stated that Short Deck Poker is definitely the next big thing.
