What Does Viet Vo Think about His Victory?
The winner said a few words about his victory, saying that it felt very good. He added that he had wanted the title for a long time as he had gotten to the second place in the Chicago’s Main Event and had ended up in 11th place at the Bicycle Casino where he had bubbled the final table. He concluded that he was very happy to have finally closed it out and won the first prize.
Viet Vo continued to talk about his history and how he worked really hard to get to the place where he is now. He said that he had had a job three years before winning the title and had been playing poker every day after finishing with his work. He sensed that he had been doing pretty well in the card game, so he decided to quit his job and devote all of his time to playing poker.
Vo then focused on his professional career and said that after four months of actively playing poker, he had not won anything, but then Chicago had happened and he had managed to get to the second place in the Main Event. According to Vo, everything else from that point was good for him and started going uphill.
Vo stated that he was in the position to pick the stops, but that poker was not the most important thing in his life anymore as he had managed to get married and have kids who he tried to spend as much time as possible with when he was not playing poker. He said that he traveled once a month to play poker and gave a shout-out to his wife who was home taking care of their four children at that moment.
The first ring that Viet Vo managed to win was back in 2015 when he topped the field at the WSOPC Horseshoe Baltimore Event #11: $580 NLH. At that time, he managed to win a total of $14,997. His second biggest win was when he finished on the second place in the 2014 WSOPC Horseshoe Hammond, where he managed to take home a sum of $193,935.
