Denver Nuggets vs. Utah Jazz Game 6 Betting Preview

The Jazz have their second crack at putting the Nuggets season to bed on Sunday as the teams meet for Game 6. Gary Harris, who has not played in the bubble for Denver, will make his return. This gives their defense a much-needed presence.

Denver handled their business last game, as Jamal Murray went off down the stretch to make sure the Jazz had no shot at putting them away in four straight. They still need two more wins, but if they can just come in with a win one at a time mindset, they can take this to game seven.

Donovan Mitchell has been on another level all series long, and he’ll be looking to continue to dominate. His 57 points in Game 1 is the third-most ever scored in an NBA Playoff game. He is the key to this team, and as he goes, they do.

Their ultimate goal has to be to slow down Jamal Murray, though. He has burned them several times, getting hotter than Arizona out there.

ODDS:

The Jazz are two-point favorites, with the over/under set at 220.5.

Denver Tries to Stay Alive, Again

After taking care of business in Game 5, they’ll need to do it again Sunday. There is a chance that the long layoff between games could have a negative effect, but they’ll need to push that aside and play their game. A few extra days is nothing worse than what they had to deal with during the 4+-month hiatus.

Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic have been nearly unstoppable in the two-man game, and it’ll need to continue to be that way. And if Michael Porter Jr. continues to play putrid defense, they will have to pull him immediately. The return of Harris might make this a little easier. However, this will be his first game since March.

It’s win or go home for the Nuggets. And after their first-round series went to seven last year, they’ll hope to make this the case again.

Utah Looking to End It

One more win and Utah will advance in the playoffs for the second time in three years. They ran into a tough matchup with Houston last season and fell way short of expectations. With a 3-2 lead, the ball is in their court, and with a “home” game coming, they’ll have the familiar sounds beaming around them.

It’s all about Mitchell and Clarkson at the offensive end. These two guys have been the driving force behind all of the scoring, with Mike Conley sprinkling in various threes. If Clarkson or Mitchell struggles early, the other will have to pick it up.

The Jazz have a thin bench as far as playmaking goes, so if not Clarkson, all they have is the outside shooting of Georges Niang. Can they end it?

Denver Forces Decisive Game

Jamal Murray will go for 40, and the Nuggets will force a Game 7. Winner take all!
