The tenth day of the 2020 World Championship of Online Poker has passed, and several players managed to top important events. In fact, 11 new champions were crowned, but three of them recorded very important victories – Matheus Zancan and “NoTilt.” Let’s take a look at the events they took part in.
WCOOP-25-L: $215 NLHE (8-Max Sunday Slam)
Matheus “MpZancan” Zancan is a Brazilian player who managed to top WCOOP-25-L: $215 NLHE (8-Max Sunday Slam), winning a total of $182,592. Despite attracting more than 7,176 entries, the event lasted for only 3.5 hours, meaning that Zancan made a really smart investment when paying that $215 buy-in price.
His final price would have been even higher, going above $200,000 if he had struck a deal with “mrlogic” from Latvia and Diego “El Pulgoso” Ostrovich from Argentina during the three-handed play. “Mrlogic” won a total of $148,135, and Ostrovich won $119,117.
WCOOP-25-M: $2,100 NLHE (8-Max Sunday Slam)
A Lithuanian player nicknamed “NoTilt” managed to win WCOOP-25-M: $2,100 NLHE (8-Max Sunday Slam), winning a total of $228,462. They had a tough opponent field, especially during the final table.
The last opponent that “NoTilt” had to face was Austria’s Christian “WATnlos” Rudolph, who failed to improve in the heads-up play, and had to settle for $167,305. The third-place belonged to Julian “nailuj90” Stuer, who also happens to be from Austria. Sture won $122,520. This event also awarded the top three players with six-figure scores, although no deals were made this time.
Other players who made it to the final table, besides the top three ones, were “mmetsla,” David “davaman” Lopez, “Pimms,” “CrazyLissy,” and Francisco “Tomatee” Benitez.
