The Warriors are 23-24. The Heat are 23-24. The fact that either team has a record as such is quite surprising with just 25 games left. As they get together for what should be an exciting matchup, it’ll be interesting to see how things go down.
Stephen Curry is, in fact, back in the Warriors lineup, but it hasn’t made too much of a difference. It’s been nice to see their younger guys like Jordan Poole and Nico Mannion get more run off the bench, but it isn’t translating to wins.
The job they’ve done with James Wiseman has been horrible, and his development has been slowed. Let’s see what the team does against the defending EC champs.
On the other hand, Miami was able to avoid a third loss in 13 days to Indiana by rallying from 15 down to win on Wednesday. And more exciting than that, Victor Oladipo makes his team debut against Golden State.
He has long expressed a desire to play for the Heat, so the dream can finally come true. How effective he’ll be is another question. But here he is, and Miami could have another star locked up sooner than later.

The Heat are the favorites at -2.5. The over/under is set at 219.5 points.
Dubs Seek Move Back to .500
This year has been a bit of a rollercoaster for the Warriors, though they have not peaked. There has not been a stretch where they were able to establish consistent winning.
The fact remains that Andrew Wiggins and Kelly Oubre are terrific defensive players. Neither guy can score consistently, and the team has to pay for that. When it isn’t Steph scoring 60, offense isn’t easy to come by.
Wiseman could surely develop into an elite NBA big man, but when Steve Kerr isn’t running any sets for him or giving him more than 22-24 minutes a game in tight ones, there is no chance at improvement. Whether he’s hard on rookies or not remains to be seen.
Ky Bowman and Jordan Poole had free reins all of last year. Something’s fishy.
Look for Curry to go off, but GS will have a tough time with Miami.
Heat Seeking Win No. 24
Nobody thought Miami would be 23-24. They have played a lot of games without Jimmy Butler, but they had a six-game losing streak before winning their last game.
That one win could be the game that gets them back on track, finally. With Oladipo making his season debut, the team not has more firepower.
Oladipo, with a consistent jumper, would make the team very dangerous and will immediately improve the perimeter defense. Trevor Ariza has had a positive impact as a starter, while Nemanja Bjelica provides another floor-spacing big man off the bench.
The team is a lot more than Bam Adebayo and Jimmy Butler, and they’re out to show just that. Tyler Herro is, without a doubt, overrated but can still be an effective scorer for the team constantly. The Heat will be fun to see for the next two months.
