Seven world-class casinos on the Las Vegas strip are among casino-hotel facilities set to showcase memorable fireworks on July 4, 2021. The Clark County Government announced this development on its Instagram account, declaring Vegas is back. The casinos set to feature in the Independence Day celebration include The Venetian, The Strat, Treasure Island, Resorts World Las Vegas, Aria, Caesars Palace, and Planet Hollywood.
The show will occur at 11 pm. Resorts World, standing where the former Stardust Casino was, will have gone live as it is set to open on June 24.
Since the return of full-floor capacity on most casinos in Nevada, Vegas has seen an increase in visitors. Kate Wik of Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority confirmed this to the Las Vegas Review-Journal. She said that the public’s repressed demand to come to Vegas was real.
Kate was excited to announce that the only Vegas experience is waiting for all visitors. Kate confirmed that the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority had been waiting to announce that Vegas is back.
Road to Las Vegas Recovery
For months since the coronavirus pandemic swept through Las Vegas, the city’s tourism-dependent casino economy deteriorated fast. In March 2020, casinos closed for 11 weeks.
Even after their reopening, the casino economy in Nevada remained bad. Moreover, McCarran International Airport saw a reduction of millions of visitors due to the pandemic. The city even had an unemployment rate of 34.2 percent, the highest in a state with a population of over one million in the USA.
As of April 2021, Vegas has the second-highest jobless rate after Los Angeles. Yet, with the recent vaccination against COVID-19, the casino economy in Southern Nevada has started to rise. Since the beginning of spring, Vegas has seen an increase of over two million visitors.
This number is predicted to increase significantly, with the World of Concrete convention starting today, June 6, 2021. With a high number of visitors comes a growing economy. This is especially true when there is a convention in Las Vegas, as it helps fill up hotel towers in the city during the week.
The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority had to lure visitors back to Las Vegas. It did this by hyping a $1 billion West Hall development at the Convention Center. Another development is the underground Tesla-owned facility, The Boring Co.
More About Fireworks Shows
Apart from the seven casinos mentioned above set to show fireworks, several other casinos will launch fireworks too. One of these casinos is the Stations Casinos.
The company is celebrating 45 years since it opened to the public. Essentially, the Station Casinos brand is launching fireworks from July 1 to July 4, 2021, to celebrate Independence Day and its anniversary.
As it has several properties in the area, the company will launch fireworks at 9 pm at some of their properties. Another casino hotel planning to launch fireworks is the Plaza Hotel and Casino.
The casino’s property will be celebrating its 50th anniversary and Independence Day. The casino will release fireworks from its hotel towers during the first week of July. But, for now, we can’t wait to see Vegas unveil the optimal experience visitors look forward to.
