Another week of the NFL regular season is in the books and we had a crucial AFC North matchup heading in our direction for Thursday Night Football on Amazon.
The Pittsburgh Steelers will put their lowly offense to the test on the road when they travel to take on the Cleveland Browns.
Both teams are fresh off a Week 2 loss, and the Browns loss was a heartbreaker with a missed PAT and some poor time management down the stretch.
With a couple of plays in either direction, the Browns could have potentially been winless or undefeated, and instead, they settle at the right record of 1-1 heading into Thursday night.
Hosting this game will likely give them a boost, and their rushing attack is the key component for both sides of the ball.
As we take a look at the spread before kickoff, the Browns draw the favorite on their home field over the Steelers at -3.5.
What can the Steelers do with Mitch Trubisky steering the ship?
As far as quarterbacks go, Mitch Trubisky is probably in the bottom tier of NFL starters and we have seen him flame out earlier in his career when he was the leader of the Bears.
Serving as the backup in Buffalo last season, it looked like he might have gas left in the tank, but he has been unable to convert that to consistent offense in Pittsburgh.
It does not help that their offensive line leaves little to be desired, but the skill position guys on their roster are special.
With a solid defense behind them, they will look to keep this game low scoring to sneak out a victory.
A dominant rushing attack comes up short in Week 2
With both Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt healthy and active, the Browns do not have to leave too much up to chance in their games.
They will get the lead early in most contests and find a way to hold on to it.
With a missed PAT against the Jets in Week 2, they managed to fall to 1-1 on the season and have an uphill battle with DeShaun Watson still out at quarterback.
They will be missing a few of their defensive players, but their pass rush should have a field day against this offensive line.
Steelers @ Browns Betting Prediction
With Watson in the lineup, these two teams are very similar in their build: two above-average defenses that are carried by their running backs.
Based on the first two weeks of play, Chubb and Hunt have looked unstoppable, and the two of them will keep taking turns on beating up on the opposing team.
The Steelers will be hard-pressed to let a team beat them in their own game, but on the road, they will be at a disadvantage.
Hunt will be the x-factor that sends the Browns over the edge in another close scoring contest where they take the victory on their home field. Take the Browns at -3.5.
