Launching into Week 4 of the NFL regular season gives us some interesting division matchups that have strong implications towards the end of the year.
Two AFC South teams, that managed to each pick up their first win, are going to be squaring off on Sunday when the Tennessee Titans go on the road to take on the Indianapolis Colts.
Both the Titans and the Colts are constructed in similar fashions, and they looked completely unimpressive the first two weeks to open the year.
Getting back on track was a very important mission for these players. Going winless in the first three games of the season feels like a death sentence in the NFL.
It will likely be a low-scoring affair, and we will get a chance to see two of the better running backs in the league go head-to-head with each other.
Coming into this matchup, the Colts draw the favorite at home over the Titans at -3.5.
Trusting in King Henry, rinse and repeat
We have seen the same story for the Titans in the previous seasons. Handing the ball off to Derrick Henry constantly and letting him go to work is their recipe for success.
Coming off a Jones fracture was never going to be pretty, and it seems like it takes Henry a little bit longer than it used to for him to get his explosiveness.
He brought it last week against the Raiders and had a great game from scrimmage. As long as he is eating and Ryan Tannehill is limiting his turnovers, the Titans are in good hands.
Despite their first two losses, they might be in a better position than most people realize.
What kind of team are we looking at in Indy?
No team is more head-scratching in either conference than the Indianapolis Colts. They have another new quarterback in Matt Ryan; he has looked average at best.
With arguably one of the most talented running backs in the league, Jonathan Taylor has yet to put together a dominant performance.
He did get off to a slow start last season, so Colts fans can hang their heads on that moving forward.
Beating the Kansas City Chiefs is no fluke, but the fact that their defense even managed to hold their ground the whole game was impressive.
Titans @ Colts Betting Predictions
Both of these teams are wildcards as we move throughout the season. Expectations were pretty high after their finishes last year.
The Titans do have a familiar formula, and that does have an advantage when your back is against the wall because they can always put the ball in Henry’s hands.
When trouble comes for the Colts, they are still looking around frantically trying to locate the best answer.
Despite being the hosts of this game, expect Henry to have a monster game on the ground rushing and take the Titans as underdogs at +3.5. They will be able to even up their record with this game.
