With so many teams buckling at the knees, this NFL season is shaping up to be one of the most confusing and backwards seasons in a long time.
In a brand new edition of Thursday Night Football, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be hosting the Baltimore Ravens and Lamar Jackson.
In their most recent win over the Browns, Lamar Jackson was able to do just enough to secure a close victory over their rival Browns team.
He has been able to rely on the run game more and more, as the Ravens continue to rotate players through the lineup.
Tom Brady and the Buccaneers are coming off one of their worst losses since Tom has been a part of their roster. It was humiliating to drop a divisional game to such a weak Panthers team, especially after they just traded their best player.
Looking at the spread for this game, it will likely move all over the place before kickoff, but the Ravens are favored on the road over the Bucs at -1.5.
Was it worth it for Lamar Jackson to bet on himself?
Jackson refused a contract extension before the start of this season and came out roaring in the first couple of games.
Lately, his numbers have been rather pedestrian, despite the Ravens still finding ways to win games with their defense and other running backs.
With so much at stake, it does not seem like he has done much to increase his value. There are plenty of more games to go in the season, but this up-and-down start has not helped his case.
Going into Tampa Bay has not been easy since Brady has been a part of the roster, but the Ravens have the tools to get the job done.
Finding the strong pieces of the Buccaneers
In terms of the level of play we are accustomed to seeing, Brady has taken a nosedive this season and continues to struggle with his offense.
Other skill players have been able to make a strong impact, with Leonard Fournette not running as strong and all of his receivers fighting injuries all season long.
Even the rushing defense has not had a leg to stand on, and that isn’t looking good with such a strong Ravens team coming into town.
They will have to figure out a way to make it work for their roster or this season has a chance to get away from them.
Ravens @ Buccaneers Betting Prediction
It has been a rough stretch for Thursday Night Football, but hopefully, this is a game that features some points and real explosive plays for once.
Both of these teams are pretty equal in terms of skill, it seems like, so rolling with the home underdog for this game seems like the smartest way to bet.
Bet on Brady to right the ship with the Bucs at +1.5 and to take care of business at home.
