A new edition of Thursday Night Football is bringing us the best team in the NFC and maybe the best team in the league when the Philadelphia Eagles are on the road to take on the Houston Texans.
The Texans, while semi-competitive in some spots, have been disappointing more recently as they have not won a game since beating the Jaguars in the beginning of October.
On the other hand, the Eagles capped off a ridiculous offensive performance on Sunday when A.J. Brown and Jalen Hurts connected for three different passing touchdowns.
It’s a tale of two different teams as we have our first November game, and despite hosting the game, the Texans are definitely going to have their hands full for this one.
All that to say, the Eagles will draw a heavy favorite going into Thursday, and the general consensus is Eagles at -13.
Another dominant display over their opponents
Not to bad mouth any one particular team, but it didn’t seem like the Pittsburgh Steelers stood any fighting chance against the Eagles in their latest matchup.
From the jump, the Eagles’ offense was clicking on all cylinders and they showed us exactly why they went for a top tier receiver in the off season.
While everything was good for the Eagles in the win, they did lose a key player on their defensive line in Jordan Davis, who will likely be sidelined for four to six weeks.
Not that this is going to affect them too heavily in the short term, but in the NFL, it seems like one injury leads to another and leads to another, which can stack up before you know it.
What is worth highlighting in Houston?
With the trade deadline on Tuesday, the Texans seem to be ready to take calls on just about any player on their roster.
It has been another abysmal showing for the Texans, who just can’t seem to find any sort of luck in their personnel.
Their pass catchers are weak, and their best pass catcher is one of their top trade candidates in Brandon Cooks. He will likely be moved before this game on Thursday.
All that said, they have managed to keep their losses close for the most part, but it would be shocking if they were able to put up any sort of fight in this game.
Eagles @ Texans Betting Prediction
Across the entire NFL landscape, two teams have stood out as truly dominant: the Buffalo Bills and the Philadelphia Eagles.
A road game on Thursday in Houston after an easy win over the Steelers makes this game not as challenging as it could have been.
Even on a short week of rest, the Eagles should have no problem prepping for this one and taking care of business in Houston.
Expect Jalen Hurts to have another monster performance passing and running the ball and for the Eagles to win big on the road at -13.
