Turkey day means it is time for a triple header of NFL action, and one of the biggest matchups in the NFC is a key game to sort out the finals standings.
The New York Giants will be on the road against the Dallas Cowboys, who are both coming off of completely opposite game results.
Going up against Detroit, the Giants were seemingly going to be able to run the ball all over them, but that was not the case. There was hardly any offense for New York, and they were unable to match the firepower of Detroit.
On the other hand, Dallas went into Minnesota as a considerable favorite based on the two records and absolutely obliterated the Vikings on both sides of the ball.
The NFC East was one of the better divisions in football, so this game will help determine who gets to keep fighting for the wildcard spots up for grabs with the Eagles running away with the division.
Opening spreads for this game have the Cowboys favored at home over the Giants at -8.
Just a bad game or something to be concerned about moving forward?
Not only were the Giants unable to generate any offense in their matchup with Detroit, they also allowed four rushing touchdowns.
This doesn’t bode well going against Dallas, who has the one-two punch of Ezekiel Elliott and Tony Pollard to create a matchup nightmare for this squad.
That isn’t to say that the Giants don’t usually play the Cowboys tough, but it makes you wonder if Daniel Jones and the rest of this team have what it takes to continue on this high season.
Either way, a win here can erase all of the negative thoughts coming off the heels of this most recent loss.
Firing on all cylinders with a fully healthy roster
After a little bit of slippage with the return of Dak Prescott to the lineup, the Cowboys seem to have their wheels underneath them and were able to bring the hammer down on the Vikings.
Despite people thinking this result was predictable, the Vikings are a good football team. Dallas completely shut them down on offense and on defense.
This is a team that is built to go the distance with their defense and their offense continually getting better each week.
Prescott has the boys in Dallas playing with swagger and tenacity, and that will continue into this matchup with the Giants.
Giants @ Cowboys Betting Prediction
Many eyes will be on this game as a highlight of Thanksgiving, and these two teams have a historic rivalry with each other.
These games tend to come down to the wire in the NFC East, and I wouldn’t expect this game to be any different.
The Giants are scrappy, and I think they will surprise some people and get a win on the road here in Dallas against the Cowboys at +8. Expect Saquon Barkley to be the main reason for a monster bounce-back game.
