Busiest Day Of FTOPS: Full Tilt Awards Three Titles Tuesday

The 13th Full Tilt Online Poker Series, better known as FTOPS XIII, has certainly given onlookers and players alike plenty of entertainment as the action continues through this 25-event series. But yesterday – Tuesday, August 11th – was by far the most action packed of them all.

Full tilt Poker awarded not one, not two, but three FTOPS Titles yesterday as FTOPS-XII Events #13, #14 and #15 all took place.

FTOPS Event #13 – $300+$22 NL Holdem Shootout, $200k GTD
Hosted by Full Tilt Red Pro Barny Boatman, this FTOPS event attracted a field of 729 players, enough to up the prize pool to $218,700. Full Tilt Red Pros Mike McDonald and Michael Craig both finished well into the money, finishing 12th ($1,898.95) and 9th ($2,952.45) respectively. In the end, it was “ROBUSTYOU22” and “bgitty” competing heads-up for the top prize. “bgitty” was able to outlast his one-on-one opponent to claim the FTOPS Title.

FTOPS Event #14 – $500+$35 HORSE, $300k GTD
Event #14 of FTOPS-XIII featured hosting from Full Tilt Red Pro Ali Nejad. A field of 635 forked over the $500 buy-in, jumping the prize pool to $317,500. Once more, a Full Tilt Red Pro took the 9th place prize $3,333.75. Another Full Tilt Red Pro and well know professional, Ram Vaswani finished 13th for $2,698.75. Duking it out for the 1st place prize were “dave3318” and Str8Forward”. The title eventually went to “dave3318”.

Full Tilt Red Pro Mike McDonald, the very same poker pro who claimed 12th place in FTOPS Event #13, played host in this 6-max NL Holdem turbo event. 2,801 players turned out for this massive guarantee of half a million, once more enough to increase the expected prize pool to $560,200. Full Tilt Red Pro Aaron Bartley proved why he is an exceptional poker pro by making his way through the final table up to a 3rd place finish worth $70,000. Bartley’s exit left “River_Vlad” and “the snaffle” to compete for the title.

Before Bartley took his leave, there was deal making between the three finalists. As it turns out, the 2nd place finisher, “River_Vlad”, actually pocketed a higher prize than FTOPS Title winner “the snaffle”.
