Two teams that are the definition of grit and grind will be squaring off against each other on Wednesday night when the Memphis Grizzlies go on the road to take on the Miami Heat.
If one player is having one of his best seasons in a long time, it is Jimmy Butler. Butler feels like he has been a part of the Miami Heat for his entire career, but this has been a dominant season for the veteran.
Coupled with the performance from Bam Adebayo, Butler and Bam continue to find ways to win games in clutch situations. It has been the story of the Miami Heat all season long.
On the other side of the court, the Memphis Grizzlies have been dealing with the controversies surrounding all-star Ja Morant, and he remains away from the team for an indefinite amount of time.
Even still, Memphis has played well in his absence, and multiple players have stepped up to the plate. The Heat still draw the favorite on their home court in this one over the Grizzlies at -3.5.
Fighting their way through the remaining weeks of the regular season
Throughout most of the season, the Grizzlies looked like one of the top teams to beat in either conference and certainly carried themselves confidently.
Without Morant in the lineup, players like Dillon Brooks and Desmond Bane have risen to the occasion and taken their game to another level beyond where they were.
Due to injuries sustained last season, the Grizzlies were able to accumulate some experience without Morant in the lineup already, so that makes this current transition time a little bit easier.
If they want to go the distance, they will need their all-star back in the mix, and they will be ready to make some noise.
Pulling out the toughest games
With an offense as questionable as the Miami Heat’s have been, it has been a miracle that the Heat continue to find new ways to win games.
When the going gets tough, the Heat get going in those closing minutes and know exactly how to execute down the stretch with one of the best coaches in the league.
With the way Butler and Adebayo have been playing, as long as their game is close down the stretch, the Heat really can beat anyone in the league.
Their offense won’t be able to turn around this late into the season, so if their defense holds true, they can go as far as they need to in the postseason.
Grizzlies @ Heat Betting Prediction
Both teams have experienced their share of the fight through the final home stretch of the season.
A Wednesday night matchup between these two will be entertaining to say the least. These are probably two of the teams with the largest ego in the NBA, and it should make for some fun on the court.
The Heat have found ways to win close games, but the Grizzlies will jump to an early lead and win on the road at +3.5.
