After taking a commanding 3-1 lead in the series, the Los Angeles Lakers were pretty much a no-show in their game five matchup against the Warriors in Golden State.
This may have been in part to an injury to Anthony Davis where he appeared woozy on the court, and it was reported that he might have been concussed.
Barring a major setback, all signs are pointing to him suiting up for game six of this matchup, and the Lakers are going to be looking at closing it out on their home floor.
Different players have stepped up for Los Angeles in each of the games, and it can be anyone’s guess who steps up to be the hero of a potential win in this game.
The Warriors are certainly desperate, and they will need that desperation to fuel them to another game where they can stave off elimination.
Ahead of the game six action on Friday night, the Los Angeles Lakers are favored on their home court over the Warriors at -2.5.
Time for the Warriors to unleash game six Klay Thompson
In their last couple of games, Klay Thompson has noticeably struggled shooting from the floor and it has made the Warriors offense more predictable than it has ever been.
Steph Curry, and Draymond Green in their most recent matchup, did an excellent job of stepping up to the plate to carry for the lack of production from Klay.
If the Warriors want to win this series, they are going to need Klay to go off in one of these last two games because the role players have been less than stellar on the road.
Anthony Davis may be a little bit banged up, so that could very much make a difference ahead of the tip on Friday.
A series of destiny for the Chosen One
All of those years in the mid-2010’s where LeBron James and Steph Curry matched up against each other in the NBA Finals gave James the short end of the stick.
He was able to score one title out of the deal, but the Warriors certainly got the last laugh when Kevin Durant joined their roster.
This series, while not for a championship ring, would serve as a form of payback and open the door for LeBron skeptics to believe he is adding to his resume.
Not only that, his personal motivation for this series is at an all-time high, and it shows in his effort on the court.
Warriors @ Lakers Betting Prediction
The two biggest stars in the NBA will clash again on Friday night for game six of their series, and LeBron James has another chance to bounce Steph Curry out of the postseason.
If anyone predicted this series matchup at the beginning of the year, they would have been taking crazy pills.
The Lakers as the favorite in this game on their home court is who is safe to roll with. LeBron and company will get the win over the Warriors at -2.5.
