PartyPoker, Borgata, and BetMGM have collaborated with Bellagio to hold online satellites for the Bellagio Kickoff Classic series that will start soon.
Players can take part in the online qualifiers to enter the Bellagio Classic Main Event, which has a $3,500 buy-in and $500,000 guaranteed prize pool. Still, it will take place between September 7 and 9,2023.
The qualifiers will begin on August 14 and last for two weeks. Players in Pennsylvania, Michigan, and New Jersey, BetMGM Poker Network can easily access them.
The qualification process has two steps and resembles the Potomac Poker Open Championship’s (PPOC) current qualifiers. The first step requires players to make a $20 buy-in. The second step costs $100, and it offers them access to the final qualifier occurring on August 20, August 27, and Sundays.
One player will win a $5,000 comprehensive package in the final stage. It constitutes travel expenses’ coverage, four-night accommodation at Bellagio Resort & Casino, and the Main Event’s $3,500 entry.

The poker series will take place between August 31 and September 10, 2023. It will have 12 tournaments with more than $800,000 in prizes.
Bellagio Kickoff Classic’s Main Event will have a $500,000 prize pool, $3,500 buy-ins, and two Day 1s. The first Day 1 will be on September 7, and the second on September 8. The event’s winner will be crowned on September 10.
The series’ preliminary tournaments have a wide array of games with $400 to $800 buy-ins. The Pot-Limit Omaha Mystery Bounty will have a $800 buy-in and $50,000 guaranteed prize pool. Players can advance to the Main Event through several $400 satellites, the Turbo tournament, No-Limit Hold’em Mystery Bounty, and the Seniors Event.
Borgata and BetMGM recently revealed the PPOC’s qualifiers. The National Harbor Hotel & Casino will host the championship between August 16 and 18. BetMGM rebranded playMGM to the Bellagio Casino, and it collaborated with the World Poker Tour (WPT) in 2017 to hold the $10,400 WPT Bellagio Five Diamond World Poker Classic.

The gaming operator has an “omnichannel event” through which New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Michigan players can compete in high-stakes events. It collaborated with ARIA Resort & Casino to hold the BetMGM Poker Championship twice. The last edition occurred in June 2023, featuring 1,026 players, and had a $3.28 million prize pool.
BetMGM’s Director of Poker, Luke Staudenmaier stated that BetMGM Poker had a successful partnership with Borgata and ARIA in the previous omnichannel tournaments. Yet, online players can qualify for MGM National Harbor’s PPOC.
Staudenmaier added that they will continue providing Championship poker in different states. BetMGM has four online poker rooms in Ontario, Michigan, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. Still, it wants to merge its Michigan and New Jersey player pool to form its third shared liquidity network in North America.
