The College Football season is nearing the end of the regular season. Just the month of November remains, and we are ready to start looking at the Heisman Trophy voting. Let’s take a look at the updated betting odds to win the 2023 Heisman:
Michael Penix Jr +280
Penix leads the country in passing yards and will get over 3,000 in his Week 10 affair. The Washington Huskies are one of the top teams in the country and have one of the best offenses in the game. There is no doubt he has great weapons to throw to on a game-to-game basis. But, his ability and his talent has come through in big opportunities. The win over Oregon will get him a long way towards taking down the award. It will be interesting to see how he fares in the final four games as the favorite.
JJ McCarthy +300
The Michigan Wolverines do not rely on McCarthy like many others in College Football do with their quarterback. For relative comparison, McCarthy has thrown just 169 passes on the season, while a guy like Michael Penix Jr has thrown 294 on the season. But, McCarthy is accurate, and doing a great job finding his talented receivers. McCarthy sits with a 78.1% passing percentage, with 18 touchdowns and 3 interceptions as he heads into his Week 10 affair.
Jayden Daniels +400
Daniels is fourth in passing yards with more than 2,500 on the season. Daniels has 25 touchdowns and 3 interceptions on the season, and has been sacked 17 times. LSU has two losses on the season, so if they take that into account he is behind Penix and McCarthy. But, LSU has a shot at really making some noise down the stretch of the season, and the award certainly is a possibility.
Bo Nix +600
Nix comes into Week 10 with 2,337 passing yards, 21 touchdowns and just a single interception. That’s what impresses us most about him and the Oregon Ducks offense. Nix has also been sacked just four times. Compare that to Shedeur Sanders of Colorado, who has been taken down in the backfield an alarming 41 times this season. Nix and the Ducks would love to get and take revenge from Washington in the Pac 12 title game, but work to do before that. Nix is fourth in odds at +600.
Jordan Travis +800
The Florida State Seminoles signal caller continues to shine for the ACC leaders. The Seminoles are a legitimate national title contender due in large part to Travis and his play under center. Travis has 2,109 passing yards, with 18 touchdowns and 2 touchdowns. The Seminoles will look to lock up their spot in the ACC title game, and move a step closer to the College Football Playoff. Travis is listed at +800 to win the award.
Marvin Harrison Jr +1000
Marvelous Marv has been outstanding for the Buckeyes. He just has 48 receptions, but is 111 yards away from 1,000 on the season and 8 touchdowns. He is the top guy that you have to alter your defense for. The Ohio State Buckeyes just grabbed the top ranking in the College Football playoff rankings, so winning out would guarantee them quite a chance at the title. But, before that, the Buckeyes will have to find a way to knock off Michigan in the regular season finale. Harrison is the first non-quarterback on the list.
There you have it. We are going to have a new Heisman this season, as Caleb Williams, who many thought would win it again appears to be out of the running. We hope these betting odds help you with your betting and you enjoy the rest of the seas
