GGPoker created the Game of Gold poker series featuring sixteen skilled players. It broadcasted the four-week tournament which constituted individual and mixed-team challenges. Still, its last week had a stunning final table and third-round competition whose champion received $456,000.
Who Were the Early Losers?
Nikita Luther faced David Williams late in week three. The former’s matches ended in week four’s first episode despite having great laydowns and unique bluffs. Many viewers from the two poker rooms praised Luther for her intense play.
She beat Williams before facing Andy Stacks. The latter had been monitoring Luther for a while as she played in the green room. Therefore, each team was keen to extend its run in the series.
The odds were against Luther when she used A?2? v to stake her chips. A A?K? match-up occurred earning Stacks the king. It sent Lukas “Robin Poker” Robinson, Olga Iermolcheva, and Luther packing as Stacks and Charlie Carrel proceeded to round three.
How the Third Round of Challenges Unfolded
The round wasn’t a walk in the park for all players who were instructed to pair up. This created tension in the room as they sought to partner with experienced individuals and avoid being paired with novice players.
Ali Nejad declared the game and turned the tables as he faced his preferred teammate. The event had several unique rules like the dealer reshuffling the deck after its cards were reduced to ten and players folding an ace losing half of their chips to their rivals.
Kyna England vs David Williams was the round’s first match-up. But it didn’t last for long as Williams’ deuce cost him most of his chips hoping to get an ace. England collected Williams’ remaining stack and eliminated him.
Charlie Carrel clashed with Dan “Jungleman” Cates after Williams’ exit. Cates made a few amazing reads and collected some pots while Carrel made costly mistakes. The latter’s run ended after several minutes.
YoH Viral and Stacks were the last match-up. Poker diehards keenly watched who would make the series’ most interesting cooler.
Stacks ace clashed with Guilbert’s ace. The latter shoved prompting the former to lay a hand down and lose half of his chips. Several plays occurred before Stacks got busted due to his weak hand.
The Game’s Last Episode
The remaining part of the series was straightforward, unlike the earlier sections that had many turns and twists as only six players were battling it out for the crown. There weren’t commentary and green rooms. England had the fewest chips yet Arieh left the episode early after Cates defeated him.
Holz’s stack started reducing before England got busted in fourth place kicking off three-handed action. Ho held most of the chips. Guilbert overplayed a pair of queens when he clashed with Cates’ two-pair before using A?6? to shove.
Cates beat him in a 60-40 flip. Ho had a 15,000,000:5,800,000 chip advantage over Cates when their match began. The former rivered a flush against the latter in the series’ final hand and busted them to win the trophy.
