The Buccaneers are- 1 at home over the Jaguars. The total is listed at 42.5 points.
Jacksonville Looking to Avoid Fourth Straight Loss
Loss to the Bengals, Browns and Ravens saw the Jaguars go from first place alone to a three way tie. Now that they are out of playing the AFC North, they will look to get back on track. During the three game losing streak, the Jaguars allowed 29.3 points per game. On the season, Jacksonville has been better, allowing 22.4 per game.
Trevor Lawrence is in concussion protocol, so its not clear whether he will start of not for the Jaguars. If he does not, it will be CJ Beathard. Beathard completed 12 of 14 passes for 77 yards in for Lawrence. Both Christian Kirk and Zay Jones are likely to miss this game, both with injuries.
The Jaguars are home against the Panthers next week, and on the road at the Titans in Week 18. A win in this game would go a long way towards winning the division.
Buccaneers Seeking Fourth Straight Win
The Buccaneers came into December at 4-7, and needed to run the table on the month, and they are 60% of the way there. Tampa Bay has wins over the Panthers, Falcons and Packers. In those three games, Tampa Bay has scored 84 points, and allowed 63. On the season, the Buccaneers are scoring 21.1 points per game.
Baker Mayfield is making a strong case for the NFL’s comeback player of the year award. The signal caller has thrown 7 touchdowns over the last three games, and in the win over the Packers went over 380 yards. Mike Evans is his top target, leading the team with 11 touchdowns on the season.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have two divisional games left. Tampa Bay is at home in Week 17 against the Saints, before going on the road to Carolina in Week 18.
Battle of Florida Goes to Home Team
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are playing some of their best football of the season right now. Baker Mayfield is leading them down the field, and the run game is helping out the cause as well. Look for the Buccaneers to take advantage of a pretty poor pass defense from Jacksonville.
On the offensive side, the Jaguars are just too beat up to keep up in this game. Tampa Bay wins their 8th game of the season here. Bet the Buccaneers -1 over the Jaguars. The final score prediction of 28-20 Buccaneers over Jaguars.
