Two of the top teams in the National Basketball Association from each league will get together on Tuesday. The Denver Nuggets are at the Philadelphia 76ers. Denver is 28-13 on the season, which is third in the West. The Nuggets are just ½ game behind Oklahoma City for second in the West. Denver has won back to back games. Their most recent win was at home over the Indiana Pacers.
For Philadelphia, they are also third. They are third in the East. Philadelphia is 25-13 on the season. The 76ers trail the Bucks by 2 games, but are 2.5 up on four teams behind them. The 76ers are coming off a blowout win at home over the Kings and another over the Rockets.

Nuggets Feeling It
The defending NBA Champion Denver Nuggets are right in the mix for the top spot in the West. Many have thought the Nuggets have struggled ,but there they are in a spot to compete. In the recent win over the Pacers, Nikola Jokic was the leader with 25 points and 12 rebounds, finishing one assist shy of his 13th triple double of the season.
Denver is scoring 116.2 points per game, and in their last three wins have scored an average of 124 points per game. Denver is seeking back to back 50+ wins in the regular season for the first time in a long time. The Nuggets will need to go 25-16 from here out to match last season’s win total.
The Nuggets are starting a five game road trip with this game. Denver is on the road at Boston on Friday, and then the Wizards on Sunday. Following that, Denver is at the Pacers and Knicks, The next time Denver is at home is January 27th when they host these very same Philadelphia 76ers.
Embiid Monster for Phily
Joel Embiid has been in and out of the lineup for the 76ers this season with a knee injury. The big man has not played since January 5th against the Knicks. He is considered questionable for this game, but did play in the win on Monday, scoring 41 points. Embiid is scoring 34.7 points per game and ripping down just shy of 12 rebounds per game for the 76ers.
Philadelphia has been getting strong performances from their point guard Tyrese Maxey. In the recent win, he played 40 minutes and scored 21 points. Before that, he has played back to back 42 minute games. On the season, the guard is scoring 26.1 points per game, and dishing out 6.6 assists.
The 76ers are at home here, but will be on the road for the next two. Philadelphia will make trips to Orlando and Charlotte Friday and Saturday, before coming back home to host the Spurs on Monday.
