PokerGO Tour Kickoff Series Now Over

The PokerGO Tour Kickoff Series has been a great way to start the live poker action in 2024, but that event is now complete. This series had five tournaments altogether, with the final event spanning two days, and all of the action took place at the PokerGo Studio that is located at the ARIA Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.

There have been some big names that have played well throughout the event, but some surprising winners have also emerged. That wasn’t the case in the final event as it was a proven veteran that wrapped up the big event with a win.

Kristen Foxen came away with the win in the series finale, and it was the first live poker tournament that she has won this year. This win came against 49 other players in the $10,500 buy-in tournament that was played with no-limit hold-em.

Foxen did not look as if she was going to win this title when the second day began, but she was able to get some luck along the way. She entered the second day in fourth place in terms of number of chips, but it wasn’t long before she started to make a big move.

Kristen wasn’t the only Foxen that was playing at the final table as her husband Alex was also among the final few players. This was the second time that the couple has been at the final table of a tournament, but Alex got the better of Kristen in the first meeting.

Plenty of Great Players

Not only did Kristen Foxen have to win this event over her husband, but there were plenty of other big names in the field as well. Foxen got some help in eliminating some of those names, but she took out the biggest competitor herself.

Heads up play saw Foxen taking on Daniel Negreanu, and he is a big name on the live poker circuit. Foxen had the sizeable lead when heads up play began, and she was able to remain in control to eventually get him to lose all of his chips.

Sam Laskowitz finished in third place in this event, and that was good enough for a prize of $70,000. Aram Zobian was in fourth place when this tournament ended, and he was awarded $50,000 for finishing in that position.

Alex Foxen finished in fifth place in this event, bringing home an additional $40,000 to the household.

Foxen Racking Up the Winnings

Foxen brought home $165,000 for winning this event, and that just added to her already impressive resume. She has now won more than $7.8 million throughout her career, putting her in second place in terms of total poker winnings for a female.

This is the 12th time that Foxen has finished a tournament on top, and she has also been at a number of final tables in other events. This win could catapult her into a huge year on the live poker tour and she will try to become the all-time winningest female poker player.
