Fun 2023-2024 for Oklahoma City
Oklahoma City held a four point lead heading into the final quarter on Monday, but allowed 34 points to Minnesota and lost by 6. In the loss, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was terrific, with a game high 37 points, while adding 7 assists and 8 rebounds. He was 10 for 18 from the field and 15 of 16 from the free throw line.
He is the leader for the Thunder offense, scoring more than 31 per game. Jalen Williams has been fun to follow this season as well, with 18.7 per game. Nuggets Still the Team to Beat
The defending NBA Champions seem to be coming into their own a little as the spring gets closer and closer. The Nuggets are 10-4 in the month of January. Part of their success has been on the defensive end. Denver has allowed 110 points or less in each of their past five wins.
Nikola Jokic continues to be the driving force for the champions. Jokic had 25 points, 16 rebounds and 12 assists against the Bucks. Jamal Murray led the way with 35 points, as he was 13 of 22 from the field. Michael Porter Jr is third on the team in scoring; as he added 13 points and 8 assists in the win.
Denver will host Portland for back to back games Friday and Sunday, before heading out on the road. The road trip for the Nuggets will include stops at the Lakers, Kings and Bucks.
Nuggets Continue Rolling
Two really good basketball teams getting together here. Two of the best in the Western Conference squaring off. But, in the end, the Denver Nuggets are the team to beat. It has been a fun season for the Thunder, and will be a fun finish, but in this one, Denver is playing too well right now, and they know this is a team that they need to move ahead of to get the top seed and home court advantage. Take the Denver Nuggets on the road. The final bet here is Denver +125 over Oklahoma City!
