The Golden State Warriors go on the road to take on the Brooklyn Nets on Monday in the National Basketball Association. Both teams are outside of the postseason chase as they open this game. The Warriors are 21-25, which is 12th in the Western Conference. The Warriors are coming off a road loss in overtime to the Atlanta Hawks.
For the Brooklyn Nets, they are 20-28 on the season. The Nets are 11th in the Eastern Conference. Brooklyn has lost six of their last ten games on the season. In their latest game, the Nets won on the road at the 76ers on Saturday.
The Brooklyn Nets are favorites in this game. The Nets are -2.5 at home over the Warriors.
Nets Looking for Back to Back Wins
For the Nets, they come into this game scoring just shy of 115 points per game. While that ranks just outside the Top 15, the Nets issue has been on the defensive side. Brooklyn is making 14 three point shots per game, which is 6th in the league. The Nets are also sixth in rebounding, with 45.3 per game.
The top scorer for the Nets this season has been Mikal Bridges. He has played in all 48 games this season, and is scoring more than 21 points per game. Cam Thomas is second on the Nets, with 21.7 points per game. Cameron Johnson checks in third for Brooklyn, with 13.9 points per game.
Brooklyn remains at home for an affair with the Mavericks on Tuesday. They play three more in a row after that, with visits from Cleveland, San Antonio and Boston. The next road game for the Nets comes on February 14th, in Boston.
Rough Season for Warriors
It certainly has not been the season the Golden State Warriors had hoped for. The Warriors had won back to back games over the 76ers and Grizzlies, before the overtime loss to Atlanta. The Warriors are 7th in the league with 119 points per game, and third in the league with 15 three point shots made per game.
Steph Curry is leading one of five Warriors in double digits per game scoring. Curry is over 28 points per game, while Klay Thompson is second with 17.3 per game. In the last game, Steph Curry played 41 minutes, and scored a game high 60 points, but in a losing cause.
Golden State will remain on the road for two more games after this. The Warriors are at the 76ers on Wednesday and Pacers on Thursday. The Warriors will play back at home on February 10th against the Suns.
Warriors Stun Nets
The Warriors still have time to pick it up and get back to the postseason. This would be a chance to get back on track with a road win. Look for the Warriors to score a bunch of points, and win this game on the road. When we bet on this game, we are taking the Golden State Warriors +2.5 on the road at the Nets. Good luck and enjoy the game!
