It was two years in the making but it has finally arrived. Based primarily on user feedback and tireless testing, Bodog Life has new online poker software. Even though it has been released after the Ultimate Bet and Full Tilt updates, this is not one of those “keep up with the Jone’s†type of software release.
Some of the new features you will see will be a new central dashboard, full player name display, chip count displayed when rolled over, multiple poker table colors, new keyboard demands, cards are better positioned and a new circle layout making it easier to follow the action.
The new version is available to new Bodog Life players upon download while existing players will get an upgrade option upon signing in. According to Bodog Life though, this is just the beginning and loyal Bodog Life poker players can expect even more upgrades in the near future including multi-table tiling, a complete lobby redesign and the ability to resize tables.
Bodog founder, Calvin Ayre had this to say of the new software release (from his blog):
With this recent software redesign, we wanted to accomplish two things. Enhancing the experience of playing on Bodog Poker, and building for the future. We’ve incorporated two years of feedback and user testing to augment the development process, and will be introducing upgrades to both the performance features and to the design and esthetics of the Bodog poker experience.
And later adding,
And this is just the beginning. These cosmetic upgrades were an important next step, however, the redesign was necessary for us to be able to build out the Bodog Poker feature set. The graphics are now vector based, which allows for easier future design of more dynamic features, like table resizing, for instance.
