A pair of Pac-12 Basketball teams will meet up on Thursday. The Arizona Wildcats are on the road at the UCLA Bruins. This is a rematch of the game they played back on January 20th. In that game, Arizona came away with a 77-71 win at home.
For the Arizona Wildcats, they are winners of three straight games. Arizona is 23-6 on the season, and leaders of the Pac-12 Conference. Arizona is coming off a 20 point win at home over Oregon on Saturday.
For UCLA, it has been a rough season. The Bruins have dropped four straight games, and their most recent was Saturday on the road at Washington State. UCLA has dropped to sixth in the Pac-12 standings.
The Arizona Wildcats are -8.5 on the road in this one. The total is listed at 146.5.
Wildcats Doing LA Trip to Close Regular Season
Arizona lost just one game in the month of February, and that was at home to Washington State. The Cougars completed a clean sweep of Arizona. That means if Arizona loses either of their final two, and Washington State wins, the Cougars will be the top seed in the Pac-12 tournament with their sweep.
Arizona is one of the top scoring teams in all of College Basketball. Only Alabama scores more points than Arizona. The Wildcats are scoring 90.3 points per game. The offense is led by their rebounding, with 39.8 per game. The top scorer for Arizona this season has been Caleb Love. The former North Carolina star is scoring 19.4 points per game.
The Wildcats will finish the regular season on the road at USC on Saturday.
Bruins Not up to Par
It has been a forgettable season for the UCLA Bruins so far. The Bruins lost back to back home games to Utah and USC, and now back to back road games at Washington and Washington State. UCLA will look to close it out strong as they head into the Pac-12 tournament.
UCLA is scoring just 66.2 points per game. That is near the bottom of all College Basketball teams. Leading the offense has been Sebastian Mack, with 12.8 per game. Next is Adem Bona, who is at 12.2 per game. In the recent loss to Washington State, Dylan Andrews led the team with 21.
The Bruins will finish their regular season Saturday at home. The Arizona State Sun Devils come to town.
Wildcats Lose on the Road
The Arizona Wildcats know they could use every win they can get to better their chances at a #1 seed in the NCAA Tournament. The UCLA Bruins know that they have no chance to get into the big dance without winning the Pac-12 tournament title. UCLA is going to be hungry to finish strong and head into the tournament ready to go.
We are going to bet an upset here. UCLA wins this game at home and knocks the Wildcats back a bit. Our final bet is the UCLA Bruins +8.5 over the Arizona Wildcats. Consider the Bruins +290 on the moneyline as well! Good luck and enjoy the game!
