A big game in the National Basketball Association on Thursday features the New Orleans Pelicans on the road at the Sacramento Kings. The Pelicans are sixth in the Western Conference standings with a 47-32 record. The Pelicans have won back to back games. Their most recent win was on the road at Portland on Tuesday.
For the Kings, they come into the game 8th in the West. The Kings are only ½ game ahead of the Lakers, and a full game ahead of the Warriors in the West. Sacramento is 5-5 in their last 10 games, and coming off a loss on the road at the Thunder on Tuesday.
The Sacramento Kings are -1 over the Pelicans in this game. The total is at 218.
New Orleans Pelicans
Zion Williamson has had a big season for New Orleans. Playing in 67 games so far, he is scoring more than 22.5 points per game. Brandon Ingram has been out since March 21st. The Pelicans likely will not see him until the postseason. He scored 20.9 points per game in the regular season.
New Orleans is 5-5 in their last 10 games, but due in large part to losing their first three games of April. The Pelicans lost at home to the Suns, Magic and Spurs. Once they went on the road, they won back to back games in Phoenix and Portland. They are seeking their third straight on the road here.
New Orleans will remain on the road for one more on Friday. The Pelicans are at the Golden State Warriors. The final regular season game for the Pelicans is on Sunday, as they host the Los Angeles Lakers.
Sacramento Kings
One of the toughest teams in all of the National Basketball Association to figure out has been the Sacramento Kings. This is a team that can beat the best teams in the league and lose to the worst. The Kings are 2-3 in April with wins over the Clippers and Nets, and losses to the Knicks, Celtics and Thunder.
Domantas Sabonis and De’Aaron Fox have been the keys to the offense all season for the Kings. Fox is scoring nearly 27 points per game, while Sabonis is a double double every night he plays. Sabonis is averaging 19.4 points and 13.8 rebounds per game. In the recent loss, Fox had a team-high 33 points, while Sabonis’s streak of 61 straight double-doubles came to an end.
The Kings will remain at home for their final two games of the season. Sacramento is set to host the Suns on Friday and the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday.
Kings Beat Pelicans on Thursday
The New Orleans Pelicans could really put an exclamation on that sixth seed, which would be huge for them with a win here. But, the Kings are hungry and at home. We think the Kings make things interesting and come away with a win here.
Our final bet for this game on Thursday is the Sacramento Kings -1 over the New Orleans Pelicans. We are excited for this game, and want to wish your the best of luck with your NBA bets!
