Full Tilt Poker recently announced the schedule for the upcoming FTOPS XIII. The thirteenth edition of the Full Tilt Online Poker Series is set to begin on August 5th and continue through the 16th with twenty five events offering sixteen million in guaranteed prize money.
The 3rd Annual Ante Up For Africa tournament is set to begin tonight and celebrities and poker pros will be visiting the Rio to compete for a good cause. Annie Duke, Don Cheadle and Norman Epstein founded the Ante Up For Africa organization to benefit the citizens of the Darfur and Sudan region.
The list of poker pros on PokerStars Team PokerStars Pro has gotten a bit longer. PokerStars recently announced the addition of Marcel Luske and Jason Mercier to their Pro Team. Both will join the ranks of such poker pros as Daniel Negreanu, Barry Greenstein and the many others who create the all star team.
Event #51 of the 2009 World Series of Poker has ended and it was German native Carsten Joh who came out victorious. The $1,500 no limit hold’em event had 2,781 players competing and for outlasting the field Joh earned $664,426.
Three players have earned two bracelets at the 2009 World Series of Poker: Brock Parker, Phil Ivey and Jeff Lisandro. Now a fourth poker pro has been added to the double bracelet list: Greg Mueller. Mueller waited a long time to earn his first bracelet and now he has earned two during the 2009 WSOP.
Just a short time ago PartyPoker announced they had signed a sponsorship deal with Ian Frazer to begin creating their own poker team. The site has now announced that Felipe “Mojave†Ramos and Remy Biechel have also joined the first ever PartyPoker team.
