When 2010 began the Nevada Gaming Control Board released the casino revenue figures for the month of November. During that month the state broke a twenty two month losing streak of decline so all seemed well. However the figures for December showed that the state of Nevada had seen the largest drop in revenues since recordings began over fifty years ago.

Carroll L. Mayfield age sixty six was arrested on January 29th just minutes after he opened fire on patrons at a Gresham Poker Parlor. Mayfield hit two people who were playing cards and missed many others. It was just thirteen minutes later that Mayfield was arrested by police.

Twenty People Arrested for Illegal Poker Tournament

This past Saturday night, twenty people were arrested at The Ramada Plaza Hotel in Kentwood, Michigan for participating in an illegal poker tournament. The Michigan State Police had been running an undercover operation to try and bust the illegal poker tournaments and this past weekend they made their move.

Video Poker Winner Robbed and Beaten

Many times when a gambler wins a big hand or a large jackpot they feel generous. The winner will share the wealth by buying a round of drinks for those in the vicinity to share the warm feeling of the win. Gregory Baudier did just that recently when he won a video poker jackpot. But the celebration would not last long as Baudier was robbed and beaten after winning the jackpot.
