Poker Tournament Robberies Running Rampant This Month

The month of October has not been a great month to hold poker tournaments with friends. A string of robberies have happened in different states throughout this month. The first we reported on was in Oklahoma which was followed by a robbery in Pennsylvania. Just this past week, a robbery happened in Cleveland, Ohio during a poker game and over $11,000 was stolen from the players.

The 2009 World Poker Tour Festa al Lago Classic concluded this past Monday and Tommy Vedes walked away the winner. The $15,000 no limit hold’em championship final table returned to game play at 4pm on Monday at the Bellagio as the field of 275 players was narrowed down to just 6.

Casino Robbery Suspect Caught Ten Years after Crime Committed

Edmund Osei has been on the run for ten years and now he has finally been captured. Osei is a former Atlantic City casino dealer and he was charged with armed robbery at five different casinos as well as a bank ten years ago. Osei disappeared before an arraignment in 2000 and has been on the run every since. Osei was captured by the Scotland Yard in Accra North, Ghana.

Poker Pro Banned from EPT

Luke “_FullFlush1” Schwartz might be trying to set a new record in the game of poker. Schwartz may be the first professional poker pro to be banned from multiple poker venues and tours if he keeps up with his controversial attitude. A few weeks ago Schwartz was banned from the Vic Casino in London and this week the poker pro has been banned from the remaining season of the European Poker Tour.
