PokerStars Offering Free Roll Entry to Petition Signers

Yesterday we told you about the Poker Players Alliance announcing the dates for National Poker Week and how they had several new websites launched online. One of those sites is www.pokerpetition.com, where poker players can go and sign a petition which supports the right of Americans to play games of skill including online poker. The petition will be sent to President Obama in July so the PPA would like to get as many signatures as they can, so to help support the PPA, PokerStars is offering people who sign the petition an entry into a free roll.

ElkY Sets World Record of 62 SnGs in One Hour

Yesterday we told you that Bertrand Ã¢â‚¬Å“ElkYÃ¢â‚¬Â Grospellier was going to attempt to set a world record for the most Sit & GoÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s played in one hour. Well after attempting the challenge, Grospellier was able to play 62 SnGs and set a new world record.

PokerStars Adds Two More Players to the Team Roster

After reporting yesterday that Peter Eastgate and Ivan Demidov have been added to the PokerStars official Team roster, we have found that PokerStars has added more players. Maria Mayrinck and Leo Fernandez are the newest addition to the rather large poker team. Both Mayrinck and Fernandez will be representing PokerStars at major land based events wearing the latest PokerStars gear as well as online tournaments held at the PokerStars website.

Team PokerStars recently announced the addition of two new players to their poker roster. Peter Eastgate and Ivan Demidov are the latest addition to Team PokerStars and will now represent the online poker room giant at live events as well as land events.

The largest online poker room in the world has signed yet another player to their massive poker pro team. Team PokerStars recently announced the addition of Johnny Lodden to their online poker team. Lodden had signed a short term sponsorship deal with PokerStars in 2008 and now Lodden has become a full fledge member of the team.

Day One Complete at PokerStars LAPT Punta del Este

Day one of PokerStars LAPT stop in Punta del Este has ended. A total of three hundred and twenty seven players entered the tournament each posting the $3,700 buy-in. By the end of day one Oliver Rowe is leading in chips while Alberto Andres Font Rytzner is right on his tail.
