$10,000 H.O.R.S.E. Championship WSOP Title Win Gives David Bach Second Gold Bracelet of the Summer

Last week, David Bach was able to earn his third career World Series of Poker bracelet after taking down the first place win during the 2017 $10,000 H.O.R.S.E. championship event. With the win, Bach won his second WSOP bracelet of the summer, outlasting such fellow pros as Daniel Negreanu and Jason Mercier.

Bach is a poker player from Georgia who earned his first WSOP bracelet back in 2009 during the $50,000 Poker Players Championship event. He would not win his second gold bracelet until this year during the $1,500 Dealer’s Choice tournament. Seemingly on a roll, less than two weeks later, he would earn the first place finish of the H.O.R.S.E. event, outlasting the field of 150 players to win the tournament.

Once final table play began, Bach would quietly move along until he became the short stack. Yet after doubling up a few times, Bach would gain a slight chip advantage which would help him eventually take the win.

In the end, it was Bach facing off against Eric Rodawig in heads-up play. Bach would win time after time and the final hand would take place once Bach held a nine to one chip lead. Rodawig would go all-in during the Omaha hi-lo round with J-9-9-3 on a flop of Q-K-A. Bach turned over A-J-9-8 and Rodawig would receive no help, giving Bach the win and his third career WSOP gold bracelet.

Bach was interviewed by the WSOP after the win and stated that he felt like he was playing well during the event and prides himself on being able to play with anybody.

The 2017 World Series of Poker continues in Las Vegas, Nevada with such events as the $5,000 No Limit Hold’em 6-Handed tournament as well as the $1,000 Super Seniors No-Limit Hold’em event already in progress.
