The Bellagio Hotel and Casino of Las Vegas, Nevada has announced they will be doing something a little different with their poker room gaming. The casino will be live streaming the cash games via Twitch, a popular video streaming platform, providing an inside look at poker gaming via the internet. The casino will be opening their own page on Twitch to run the live cash games, which should be available by the end of this month.
Poker players from around the world will be able to view the live stream, watching players as they enjoy cash gaming at the casino. Various cash games will be streamed in the mid-stakes range via the poker room. The new page for the Bellagio will be titled BellagioPOTS and will allow fans of the game to keep track of the live action each week.
Games will be streamed each week on Wednesday at 7pm Nevada time, with broadcasts set to continue until the World Series of Poker begins in May. The first streamed event will take place on the 26th of April and will be in No Limit Hold’em format. Buy-ins will range from $500 to $2,000. Additional events to be streamed will take place on the 3rd, 10th and 17th of May, all having a similar buy-in range and betting structure.
On the 24th of May, the last streamed event will take place before the WSOP begins. This event will have a buy-in range of $800 to $5,000 with a betting structure of $10 to $20. Once this event is completed, we will have to wait and see if and when the Bellagio will be bringing back the streaming action. The casino will most likely wait until the WSOP finishes up.
The streaming of live poker gaming at the Bellagio marks the first time a Las Vegas Strip casino will be using Twitch to provide live broadcasts of their live cash games.
